Perfectly Compulsive

This is the shoot I did with Lanie for my final project at University. It was a collaboration with Photographer Sarah Jones and Make-up artist Nina Smith-Crallen, both are brilliant and passionate about what they do and have produced some brilliant photo shoots in the past.

My shoot was based on the behaviours and symptoms of OCD. I wanted a clinical feel to the shoot and the set was made of things that could be disposed of or wiped down ie. Paper & Plastic. Some elements in the styling could also be wiped down/binned such as the head piece and bib to protect the necklace!

Model Portfolio - Lanie Wilson

I worked with Lanie last year for my final project at university (I will post them pics next) She was brilliant to work with and very beautiful. She is represented by Boss Model Management in Manchester in the UK.

Stormi Mills

I went to Helvetivca in Perth the other night and came across artwork by Stormi Mills. If you live in Perth then you will no doubt have seen his art graffitied on walls around the city. Its a style that can only be identified as Stormi Mills.

Vogue December 2010

As a follow on from the previous post about Shona Heath, this is a shoot from Vogue last month, it is a representation of the star signs and its so beautifully executed, the time and effort that must have gone into this shoot would have been phenomenal, The huge Aran Jumper for the Aries shot cost 4000GBP alone. This was shot by Heaths husband Tim Gutt and styled by Kate Phelan.

Shona Heath

I have always loved set design, in my opinion it's really what makes a shoot more interesting. Shona Heath has been involved in some of my favourite shoots. Her work has appeared in Vogue, Dazed and Confused, Another Magazine and many more publications.

Her set designs take you to another world, many of them surreal and fantasy inspired, creating fantastic and interesting images.

Henrik Purienne

Henrik Purienne's photography has a definate theme to it. Naughty & Sexy. These are a few of my favourite images from his website www.purienne.com. Purienne is a film director, photographer and founder of Mirage Magazine, which is where alot of his work is featured

'Mirage is a reto-inspired fashion scrapbook informed by the worlds of jetset hedonism, old school attitude and a certain adolescent nervousness'

I love the images in this magazine, they have a sexy but girly and fun feel to them.

Lady Gaga and Polaroid

It seems that every company wants Lady Gaga as their 'creative director'..... Polaroid being the latest in the long line of brands to have teamed up with Gaga. The finished product? a digital camera with a slightly different than usual design...... a set of camera sunglasses with two embedded 1.5" LCD displays. Obviously the design was inspired by Lady Gaga's Poker face video, the whole design screams 'pop culture' and is sure to set Polaroids sales soaring.

This Saturday in PERTH

On saturday night Gold Panda will be making an appearance at The Bakery. Tickets are $7 so there is no excuse not to go. Should be good! See you there.......

Google Fashion Show

Google is literally taking over the world. Quite a cool concept though, using a projector to 'dress up' in any clothes you like! I do recall my friend using this technique in one of her photoshoots last year...... I'll see if I can dig it out.
